This Privacy Policy explains how TAGNETICA LTD ("Tagnetica", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use our website at https://www.tagnetica.co.uk and our mobile applications, including Site Auditor Professional (the "App").

1. Scope

This policy applies to personal data processed through the App, our Cloud Share online reporting service (where enabled), and this website. It does not cover third-party websites or services linked from the App.

2. Data we collect

2.1 Data stored locally on your device

The App is designed to work offline. By default, project data, including issue descriptions, photos, annotations, branding settings, and report metadata, is stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to Tagnetica unless you explicitly enable Cloud Share or contact us for support.

2.2 Account and Cloud Share data

If you subscribe to Cloud Share and sign in (via Google Sign-In), we process:

• Your Google account identifier and email address
• Subscription and purchase validation tokens from Google Play
• Project, issue, and media data you choose to sync to our cloud backend
• Share link identifiers, optional share passwords, and sync timestamps
• Client feedback flags submitted through shared online reports

Cloud data is hosted using Supabase (database and file storage). We use this service to enable online report sharing and multi-device sync for subscribed users.

2.3 Subscription and billing data

In-app subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. We receive purchase tokens and subscription status from Google to validate your entitlement to Cloud Share. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

2.4 Support and correspondence

If you email us, we process your email address, message content, and any information you voluntarily provide to respond to your enquiry.

2.5 Technical and diagnostic data (future)

We may introduce crash reporting or analytics services (such as Firebase Crashlytics) in future App versions to improve stability. If added, we will update this policy and, where required, obtain your consent before collecting such data. We do not currently use advertising SDKs such as AdMob.

2.6 Website data

This website is a static informational site. We do not use cookies for tracking or analytics on this website. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may process standard server logs (IP address, browser type, request time) for security and operational purposes.

3. How we use your data

We use personal data to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App and Cloud Share features
• Authenticate your account and validate subscriptions
• Sync and display shared online reports to recipients you authorise
• Respond to support requests and legal enquiries
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues

4. Legal bases (UK GDPR)

We process personal data on the following bases:

• Contract: to provide the App, Cloud Share, and subscription features you request
• Legitimate interests: to secure our services, prevent abuse, and improve product quality, balanced against your rights
• Legal obligation: where required by applicable law
• Consent: where we rely on consent (e.g. optional communications or future analytics), you may withdraw it at any time

5. Third-party services

We use the following categories of third-party processors:

• Google: Google Sign-In and Google Play Billing for authentication and subscription management
• Supabase: cloud database and file storage for Cloud Share synced data
• Netlify: website hosting

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements or equivalent mechanisms.

6. Data retention

• Local App data: retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App
• Cloud Share data: retained while sharing is enabled. When you unshare or delete a shared project, cloud copies are removed. If your subscription lapses, share links are deactivated; cloud data may be retained until you explicitly unshare or delete the project
• Account data: retained while your account is active. See our Account Deletion page to request erasure
• Support emails: retained as long as needed to resolve your enquiry and meet legal record-keeping requirements

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability where applicable. You may also withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise your rights, contact dev-team@tagnetica.co.uk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

8. Account and data deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated cloud data without opening the App. Full instructions are on our Delete Account page.

9. Children's privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes to Cloud Share or account data processing will be communicated in the App where practicable.
